I am very pleased to share my favorite shots from 2013. Choosing favorites is a difficult process for me since I have to go back through the entire year and look at everything I have shot. I average around 75 shows a year. I find that it is hard for me to separate the visual from the overall experience of the event. If the event is imbued with good weather, good music and good company I tend to produce more work. Shooting primarily in Southern California this is, more often than not, the case. In looking at the images, I am taken back in time to that set of memories. I relive the day as it unfolds across my computer screen. Looking back, it seems that the Simi Valley Blues and Cajun Festival held in that Los Angeles suburb this past Memorial Day Weekend were some of my fondest memories of the year. A large subset of my favorites came from those two magnificent spring days.
